These historical colors are mostly out of reach for the everyday painter for one reason or another. The genuine colors have the following problems. They aren't ethically/ practically sourced. My historical handmade hue set nullifies all of these issues by offering the artist the opportunity to experience these colors safely, affordably, and practically. I have worked with all of these 10 historical colors and have studied and tested them extensively to create non-toxic, affordable, practical imitations. My Lapis Lazuli hue, Manganese Blue hue, and Lead White hue are all bound in walnut oil for minimal yellowing. Ideal for blue and white colors! All of my colors are handmade without additives.

Manganese Blue - PB15:3/ PG7/ PW4 - Walnut Oil - ASTMI - Transparent - Medium Drying. Ivory Black - PBk9/ PY42 - Linseed Oil - ASTM I - Semi-Transparent - Slow Drying.
